The EE iOS and Android app lets EE users manage all their devices and account, paying for and viewing their monthly and on-the-go subscriptions. With this tool, keep tabs on your spending, bills, data and all aspects of your account from your Android, iPhone or iPad.
I’m not a big fan of the APK UI design and will give it a 7/10. The small icons and contrasting colours green and yellow tiles do little to appeal to users. I wouldn’t call the app entirely intuitive especially if you are a new EE user and the screen is slightly cluttered. The settings are distributed across different screens so the UI might take you a bit of getting used to. The latest version has a slightly better design though, with larger icons and a more intuitive interface.
What the app lacks in a great UI it makes up for in its other features, deserving a solid 9/10. You can check your data and subscriptions, view itemized billing and check your full plan details. Check your current usage, add-ons, bills, and payments.
If you want a little more control, check bill dates and plan yourself appropriately. See any balances brought forward from the previous bill data and the breakdown of charges.
Always keep updated on how much data, airtime and SMS you have left. The app helps you plan yourself out with tracking spending and staying on top of all charges.
Through add-ons, you can get extra data or minutes, even when your balances have run out. You can also set up a pin with two-key authentication for maximum confidence.
With newer updates on the APK and iOS versions, you can control your content settings to protect your family and also check if you are eligible for an early upgrade. You will also get roaming add-ons and photo sharing.
Both the iOS and Google Play app for EE are download free, and they don’t offer in-app purchases.
This is an app for all Android devices and is also compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The APK download requires Android 4.1 or higher, and iOS version 9.0 or later.
Ease of Use 9/10
Apart from the less than intuitive design and the cluttered screen, the app is fairly simple to use, warranting a 9/10. It isn’t too stable, and it inadvertently slows down and crashes too often. The app won’t allow you to take a screenshot, even on your own device, which the developers attribute to their CI policy. Newer versions off the work seem to work, but I much rather prefer logging in from a browser rather than use the app.
I wouldn’t call this the leading app for managing your mobile and data devices and EE could do more improvement on this app. It works better currently although still slow and unresponsive at times. It is available for Android mobile and iOS, so that’s a plus.
I would recommend the app if some of the flaws could be fixed first.
