Weatherzone. Read The Review!
Weatherzone app for all Android devices and iOS gadgets is the most popular weather tool in Australia. It features the latest real-time weather observations by the Bureau of Meteorology, as well as daily, and hourly forecasts. Additionally, it beats all the weather apps in the country due to its rain radar and additional features. Here’s the full review.
The features I find attractive about this app is the simple design and relatable user interface that is also quite straightforward. The design befits a leading weather app, and the interface is clean with features that are easily accessible. Moreover, it doesn’t have any system settings, and some of the screens have preferences such as the radar which has layers for Locations, Radar, Rainfall, and Satellite. Notably, there’s only a single screen setting where you will need to specify your hometown.
The App Store and Google Play Store describe the app as the favorite weather app in Australia, and I can attest to that. The iOS and Google Android app lets you access detailed atmospheric observations, rain radar, Bureau of Meteorology warnings and lots of other useful functionalities. You get real-time weather updates from an array of weather stations in the country. The observations include wind direction and speed, relative humidity, dew point, rain, and atmospheric pressure as from 9 am.
The latest version of the app features gorgeous weather based photography alongside typo and bug fixes. It also has fixes on iPad rotation. Further enhancements can be enjoyed after you’ve acquired the in-app purchase that goes for $1.99. Notably, this purchase will let you get your weather updates ad-free.
As mentioned, Weatherzone is available as an iOS and Android app. The App Store version requires iOS 8.0 and over, and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The Android mobile variety is not limited to a particular version.
Ease of Use 10/10
The app’s ease of use can be witnessed right from the free installation. However, the features that contribute much to its usability is the convenient interface. The observations made are also quite accurate, making the app reliable. Notably, I’ve never experienced any lags with my iOS version of the app, and it has never crashed on me. Android users report the same great performance.
Not only does the app rely on data from the Bureau of Meteorology but also the app comes with its computer and meteorologist modeling. Combined, all these features come up with a more precise forecast. Notably, the app is also quite easy to use, and it offers some attractive graphical features for rain and temperature. All the positive attributes make the app a necessity for users from Australia. I would highly recommend Weatherzone.
